"We had our wedding reception at Gote Barn in July with 115 day guests and a further 15 evening guests. From first looking around the barn 2 years before the wedding Polly was excellent at communicating and punctual about answering any queries that we had about the barn. Parts of the barn were built in the 1600s which gives it real character along with being set in idyllic surroundings of the South Downs, with cows grazing in nearby fields.
There was a list of vendors for catering and to run the bar, who had done a good job previously at the barn, but we were not tied to any of these and were free to choose whoever we liked and provide our own drinks for the bar.
We had access to the barn from the Thursday morning before the wedding until the Monday afternoon following. Which gave plenty of time to set things up, arrange for deliveries and also clear up afterwards.
We were free to decorate the barn as we chose, with Polly providing some tips about what had worked well previously. Will and Polly were on hand during the setup days, to go up ladders to put bunting up and sort any teething issues. All the facilities were clean and well maintained."

"We had our wedding at Gote Barn and absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful Elizabethan barn with views of the South Downs and run by lovely people. Polly and Will allowed us to make the venue completely our own by bringing in our own plants and decorations, allowing us to run the bar how we wanted and allowing us to use their games and furniture. They were incredibly helpful to us in the build up - very responsive, supportive and available. They were also really generous with their time before and after the wedding to help with deliveries and collections of rentals. We can't recommend the venue enough."
